📊 Weekly Market Overview — July 1–14, 2026
This is the largest edition of the CRNG Hiring Intelligence Report to date, reflecting a major expansion in both research scope and verification standards. For the first time, the report applies a formal tiered verification system — accepting LinkedIn Jobs and Indeed Canada posting URLs as valid Tier 2 sources alongside direct employer career site links (Tier 1). This change brings the BC and Alberta report in line with how the industry actually works and delivers a dramatically more complete picture of the market: 29 verified, active roles across the two provinces, up from 22 in the previous edition.
British Columbia leads with 16 confirmed roles spanning seven cities, including two new additions that weren't in last week's report. Seaspan Shipyards in North Vancouver is hiring for two distinct TA roles simultaneously — a Talent Acquisition Specialist II focused on hard-to-fill technical and engineering roles ($84,600–$103,400) and a Campus Talent Acquisition Specialist managing university and co-op pipelines ($73,800–$90,200). Both carry published salary ranges and hybrid work arrangements. Specsavers Canada (Burnaby) has also confirmed a Talent Acquisition Specialist at $65,000–$85,000 — one of several healthcare and retail-adjacent employers actively hiring recruiters in Metro Vancouver this period. The anchor of the BC market remains Vancouver Airport Authority (YVR) with the highest published salary range in this edition at $78,160–$117,240.
Alberta produced 13 verified roles, with Calgary dominating as usual (8 roles) but Edmonton and Sherwood Park each contributing confirmed postings. A new addition is De Havilland Canada — the Calgary-based aerospace manufacturer — actively hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support its 2,400-person workforce across BC, Alberta, and Ontario. Also new: North American Construction Group (NACG) in Acheson, Alberta, seeking a Recruitment Coordinator to support their infrastructure and construction operations. Together, these expand Alberta's sector diversity beyond the FinTech and professional services roles that have dominated previous editions. Leadership-level hiring remains robust: KPMG's Director, Talent Attraction and Jobber's Talent Attraction Partner (GTM) in Edmonton both represent senior-level opportunities with strong employers.
Salary transparency was significantly better this edition — 14 of 29 roles disclosed compensation, ranging from $50,000 (Devon Properties) to $117,240 (YVR). Hybrid and remote work continues to be the dominant arrangement where disclosed. The agency and executive search sector contributed 4 postings: Fuze HR Solutions (Burnaby), Boyden Canada (Calgary/Vancouver), and Randstad Canada (Surrey co-op). The total market across both provinces is considerably larger — LinkedIn alone returned 44 Alberta results and 21 new Vancouver results for this period. This report captures the verified, quality-controlled subset of that universe with confirmed employer identities and direct Apply URLs.
